About me

I'm Niamh - a sexologist, developmental educator, and proud AuDHDer living on Kaurna Yerta (Adelaide).

After getting my Masters in Sexology and Bachelor in Disability and Developmental Education, I started nurturing communities and creating the resources I wished existed. The ones that understood the neurodivergent ways of being, belonging and connecting.

Everything I make comes from lived experience, professional training, and a deep belief that sexuality and relationships belong to all of us - disabled and neurodivergent folks absolutely included.

That's the essence of My Friend in Sex Ed.

Professional Credentials

  • Masters of Sexology (Curtin University)

  • Bachelor of Disability and Developmental Education (Flinders University)

  • Member: Society of Australian Sexologists (Provisionally Accredited Sex Educator) & Developmental Educators Australia

Everyone is Welcome

My services are designed to be accessible, respectful, and affirming for all individuals, regardless of gender identity, expression, or disability.

Trans, gender-diverse, people of colour, queer, disabled, and neurodivergent communities are all welcomed here.

I acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land on which I work, Kaurna Yerta, and recognise their continued custodianship and connection to the land, waters and community.

We also seek to express gratitude for the valuable contributions, unwavering dedication, and collective expertise provided by individuals representing diverse sexualities, genders, and sex, and the lived experience of people with a disability in informing and guiding our work.
